ARE YOU A CYCLIST?

While waiting to get a shot of Lance -- as I huddled with the rest of the media -- at the Ralph Lauren Center on Tuesday, someone behind me asked, "are you a cyclist?" I immediately knew she was referring to the Carmichael Training Systems hat I had on that morning (it reads trainright.com on the back). I turned around and explained that I wasn't a cyclist but that I used be a CTS client during my marathon-running days. We chatted briefly in between shots. She mentioned she's from Austin, that she photographs Ironman races, and that her husband is a pro triathlete (James Bonney).






But it wasn't until I was reading the LIVESTRONG blog later that day that I realized who "she" was: Elizabeth Kreutz, a former photographer for the Discovery Channel Pro Cycling Team and one of the first employees of the Lance Armstrong Foundation. How cool is that?
