Posted by whitey on 2/20/2007 on whitey's blogMy youngest son Sid had an accomplishment equal to Donald’s yesterday. Then again, I guess everyone pretty much learns how to ride a bike and almost no one finishes second in a pro tour time-trial. Whatever, it was huge at the DeBroux household. After meeting the 3 year old neighbor girl, he just got on his bike and started riding it. (What a showoff) He only made it about 10 feet, but now he really wants to learn. It was hard to help him and film so I only did it once and this is what I got. (It's posted in the video section) Not his best ride but he’s on his way. I can remember my dad pushing me out of the garage with out training wheels for the first time. It was a great day on my gold, solid wheeled, no coaster brake, schwinn.

Congratulations to Sid! I am so proud of him! I remember when Whitey was riding his little gold Schwinn bike past Jennifer's house (the neighbor girl...they were both around the age 4), and I said "Hey Whitey...look there's Jennifer". At that moment, Whitey looked up to see Jennifer and fell off his bike :-) It was so cute...I'll remember it for the rest of my life!
Jennifer says:
Those neighbor girls! What a super fantastic story...fond memories at the lake :)

Mom, your embarrassing me.

Do you still fall off your bike when turning your head to look at girls, Whitey? :)
