Posted by whitey on 7/7/2007 on whitey's blog | Groups: Team EinsteinMy friend Jason Donald, aka The Duck, has started a featured blog on this website. He’s the one with the goofy picture below mine. It’ll be great to follow his progress through the top ranks of cycling. Jason and I started mountain biking together four years ago on Giant’s Rocky Mountain Regional Team. He took 2nd at the Sea Otter Classic his first time as a semi-pro and won Big Bear. From the start, we all new he was going to be kind-of-a-big-deal. The next year he switched to road and tried to talk me into doing the same but I resisted and raced pro the following year. Last year I made the switch and we both raced on Team Einstein’s Cycling. He won one of the hardest stages in America; the final day of the Tour of Gila. Now in his fourth year of racing, he’s riding for Slipstream and racing all over the globe showing the big boys what god and a lot of hard work has given him. He already took second in the TT just behind Levi Leipheimer in this years Tour of California. Although he’s in Europe right now and not racing the Tour de France, I’d bet my right… leg that you’ll see him there within the next two years. So give it up for The Duck and let’s all support his quest to the top. This is a great opportunity for all yourcycling.com readers. Kind of like if you could have been on Lance’s website pre cancer.
