Posted by whitey on 2/28/2007 on whitey's blogWhile out on a ride today, I ran into BMC rider Jonathan Garcia. We chatted about his experiences out in Cali during the big race. He spent 23 days over there getting ready and ended up having multiple flats during the race. That’s a real bummer, but he did say he really learned a lot and plans on doing much better next year. One thing that makes a race good for the riders is the accommodations provided by the organizers. He said that the Tour of California had the best he has experienced so far. Good food and nice hotels every night. One thing that I thought was cool was that all the teams ate together. Different tables of course, but in the same room. Man, I wish I would've had a digital recorder in that room.
