Posted by whitey on 3/24/2008 on whitey's blogIt’s always cool when you get to watch someone you know on TV. Especially when they are in the lead break during one of the biggest races in the world. That’s what happened yesterday when I walked into Dukes house for the second Easter meal of the day. They were yelling at the TV like it was a football game. Will Frischskorn (Slipstream Chipotle - H30), was in a break for over 200 km during the 99th edition of the Milano-Sanremo in Italy. He ended up getting caught and finishing 11 minutes back, but I think the team will be happy with the two hours of world wide advertising he gave them. The action didn’t stop there though. With 2 km to go, the World Time Trial Champion, Fabian Cancellara, attacked and stayed away for the win. When he went, the small group started to chase but quickly became disorganized and lost all hope of reeling him in. It was a great race and watching it almost makes me want to get cable again.
