Omer, Gettin the Press.

Did you see Omer Kem in the lead break during yesterday’s stage of the Tour of California? I have raced with Omer many times including down in Mexico when I had my big crash. He is a good racer and is riding for Priority Health this year after a stint with Monex. The TV coverage gave me a whole different view then what I’m used to from in the pack. You could see him starting to suffer more and more each time the camera was on him. Then Booom! The explosion occurred and he was dropped, waiting to get caught by the peloton. It was when the peloton swallowed him and then spit him out the back, when I realized how hard it must have been. I have never ridden in a field that strong so I can only imagine how painful it must have been for him. So my hats off to Omer, for a well fought battle and some great press for his sponsors. Good job and I can’t wait to hear the stories.
