On the Road Again

Posted by whitey on 12/18/2007 on whitey's blog

Although later than most of my fellow racers, I started training for the 2008 season today. With a less than stellar cross season I feel like I need to redeem myself on the road. The Rio Grande is also really into sponsoring our team and has big hopes for all of us. The crew is as strong or stronger than any team I have ridden on so I have big hopes as well. To do my part I hit the road for a mellow 2 ½ hour ride over rolling terrain with the weather windy and in the high 30’s. My new Orbea bike is pretty sweet and although I need to get a bike fit, it still feels fast. It’s equipped with the new SRAM Force which I have never used before. The SRAM stuff shifts differently than Campy or Shimano. It seems to work well and it definitely feels crisp. Anyway, now that I’m back on the bike hopefully I’ll have more to talk about.

Good luck with your training and the 2008 season.

If you're ever in Florida, check out some of Buttar.com's races. We've got plenty lined up for 2008!
