Posted by whitey on 1/14/2008 on whitey's blogGraeme Obree (The Flying Scotsman) stunned the world of cycling back in 1993 by beating Francesco Moser’s World Hour Record. His controversial riding style on a bike made partially out of washing machine parts added to his mystic. He also had a tough childhood and suffered from depression. The Flying Scotsman also went on to become the World Pursuit Champion. They’ve made a movie about his life titled “The Flying Scotsman”. I recommend it to anyone looking for a great movie where he overcomes personal and cycling battles to become a champion. It may also give us mere mortals some insight into what drives the worlds best. Watch the trailer here
