Three Purple Hearts

After another boring trip through Kansas, we were finally able to say “We're not in Kansas anymore.” Oklahoma gets a little more exciting and our destination of Tulsa makes it worth the trip. $72,500 in prize money over three days! That's my kind of racing and last year our team won. Everyone will be watching us this year which will make it harder, but we still plan on a repeat. The first race is tonight at 9:10 under the lights through downtown. I can't wait to hear drunk NASCAR fans yell “Crash!” Anyway, half the guys were already down there and had us meet them at hooters so they could give us directions to our host housing. As you can imagine, there were a lot of distractions and it took awhile but we finally figured out how to get there. Our host was in the special forces over in Vietnam and has three purple hearts hanging on the wall. Makes all these awards we win racing our bikes seem pretty insignificant, huh. I'm definitely not going to complain about how sore my legs are this weekend.
