Posted by steve outing on 6/7/2007 on steve outing's blog Hey, everyone. The YourCycling.com tech gnomes have been hard at work making the site better. In recent days they rolled out ... MAPS ATTACHED TO STUFF! You may have noticed these already on some photos, videos or blogs. When someone posts content to YourCycling.com, they're now given the option of identifying on a map where the content belongs physically. Next time you post a photo or anything here, take a moment to pinpoint on the map where it belongs. Start by typing in the nearest city, then drag the map around to find the right spot. Then click once to set the map point. (Simple!) If you want, you can edit stuff you've previously posted (but not other people's stuff) and add location data. (Look for an "Edit" tab on your own posts to the site.) Check out the map on this blog item, which I've tagged with the location of the humble YourCycling/Enthusiast Group world headquarters. The "see more" link below the map will take you to a cool new view of YourCycling content. Use the map to go to a location (e.g., your location), then you can see geo-tagged content relevant to the location. Thanks, tech gnomes! | |
