A non-cyclist could say something like IBM or the Paper Mill. The problem I have with these questions is the amount of judgment derived from your answer. A rider could be a faster and smarter racer than someone on a big team but get half the respect. And the same type of judgment is passed when you tell someone what your job is. You're not judged as an individual but by your employer. If you ask me what I do, my answer is usually what I do, not what I do for money. Besides, how I make money is more complicated and longer than most people want to hear. Let's see, I'm a writer, business owner, cyclist, entrepreneur and home inspector. That's even more than I want to talk about. Isn't it better to define yourself by who you are and what you enjoy instead of what your job is? I think so, that's why I'm trying to make them one and the same.

Whitey you are right on the mark. Life is too short to be defined by work (unless it's your passion). It's our passion, how we think, speak and act that defines us.
Ride, ride, ride and then ride some more.
