Repair/upgrades

Always a Tailwind!

It's as fast as it looks!

That’s how it feels when I ride my Giant TCR Advanced with the Dura-ace deep dish wheels. They are so much faster than the Ksyrium’s I was using and it looks way faster. I look fast even when I'm going slow. A good wheel set is the biggest upgrade you can make on a bike because rotating weight is the worst kind. The deep dish rim cuts down on the wind resistance and is nice and stiff. I can’t wait to race them at Gila and Joe Martin, it’s almost like doping. It still won’t be enough for me to be a GC guy but I’m hoping to get a top ten in a stage or two. I also feel like my training has been going really well and should be nice and rested for the races.

Dirty Bikes

Posted by MobCyclery on 4/11/2007 on MobCyclery's blog | Groups: Team Einstein

For the love of God, please clean your bike before you take it to your favorite shop to be serviced!! I'm gonna let you in on a little fyi....the moment you step out of the shop's door, the staff laughing at your filthy bike....and you’re gonna get charged a cleaning fee to boot! Just do all of us a favor and run it through the car wash and rinse it off!! I don’t mean that you have to make it sparkle....just wash off the large chunks of mud and grime so we can properly care for your rig! A clean bike is a happy bike.
