Check out our new feature on Lance Armstrong

Posted by TomZ on 2/7/2008 on TomZ's blog

Hey Everyone,

I'm Tom, and I work for the Kisco Group (the company that purchased YourCycling.com and the other Enthusiast sites). I just wanted to let you all know, if you haven't see it already, that we posted a new feature on "Lance Armstrong's Least Impressive Accomplishments." You can check it out right here.

Filling My Closet

Posted by whitey on 1/29/2008 on whitey's blog

Yesterday felt like Christmas all over again. My closet has been fully stocked with new team issue clothing that I can't wait to use. I was expecting a few bibs and jerseys but got three different jackets, skin suit, knee and arm warmers, shoe covers and four kits. Vic’s Espresso even has great logo placement on the back and sleeves. I have only worn the new chamois and jersey once but they are great. Sugoi clothing is comfortable and built to last. If you’re in Boulder, Denver, Ft Collins, Steamboat Springs or Austin you can purchase a jersey at a Rio Grande Restaurant.

Back On The Road

Posted by whitey on 7/26/2007 on whitey's blog
Jake and Sid bored out of their minds.

Sorry for the lack of updates lately. I have been really busy and not riding as much. Currently I'm driving over to Wisconsin with my two boys to go visit family. (I'm literally typing this on my phone while driving) The last 14 hours in the car have went well and we only have three to go. My boys are awesome!

Mini Reunion

The Sugar Crash

I can now consider my friends and ex-teammates Jason Donald and Jonathan Garcia part of the big boy club. It's kind of weird to think that they are out there mixing it up with the big names in the world of cycling. My not-so-big-boys and I met them for a dinner tonight just six hours after Donald landed in Colorado from Europe. We didn't talk about racing much or his trip, it was just nice to hang with the old crew again. Our pseudo road father, Jack Seehofer was even there to look over us. Unlike while on the road, we all had our own families with.

We've got maps! (aka, geo-tagged content)

Posted by steve outing on 6/7/2007 on steve outing's blog

Hey, everyone. The YourCycling.com tech gnomes have been hard at work making the site better.

In recent days they rolled out ... MAPS ATTACHED TO STUFF!

You may have noticed these already on some photos, videos or blogs. When someone posts content to YourCycling.com, they're now given the option of identifying on a map where the content belongs physically.

Only Two Weeks Away

Posted by whitey on 4/16/2007 on whitey's blog | Groups: Team Einstein

Only 15 days until I leave for my first big race of the year. First it’s the Tour of Gila and then Joe Martin. I am mostly looking forward to Joe Martin because I can do really well there. With the exception of this weekend my training has been hard and this week will be no different. I’m going to really push it this week though because I have a recovery week next. It will be nice to rest up for the back to back stage races. Hopefully I feel better for the races than I do now because I am really tired. I think it’s a combination of training hard and then staying up too late with my visiting family this weekend. Oh well, Friday night was definitely worth it!

Colorado Mammoth

Posted by whitey on 4/13/2007 on whitey's blog

I just got back from my first ever Lacrosse game and it was sweet! It was as good or better, than any hockey game I have seen, and I played semi-pro for a year. They played at the Pepsi Center down in Denver which is where the Avalanche play as well. To tell you the truth, I’m amazed Lacrosse isn’t more popular. The arena version is fast, fairly high scoring and really rough. It looks rougher than hockey! You should see these guys wail on each other with their sticks or whatever you call them. The Mammoth won 13 to 12 against the San Jose Stealth. The place was packed and the crowd went nuts the entire game. The best part is you can go to the game for a fraction of the cost of Avalanche tickets and its more fun. I think I found my new favorite sport.

Gila-Joe Martin

Posted by MobCyclery on 4/12/2007 on MobCyclery's blog | Groups: Team Einstein
Toe winning a Gila stage.....the BIG one!!

I registered the guys for the Gila and Joe Martin this morn. We had pretty good success last year and I'm expecting the same this year! The new team is young and dumb, but has more raw power than most, I guarantee! That’s where the direction of our fearless leader Jack Seehofer comes in....he can read a race and sees what’s happening WAY before it goes. His hardest task, this year, is going to be wrangling in all these young kids and holding them back. According to the lab results, a few of the guys are hitting numbers higher than some pro guys I know. (courtesy of ICPH and Cory Hart).....and if ya don’t know who Jack is, check out the first edition of 'Road Bike Action mag'....he's the "not so fat kid" featured in an article about all the lbs he lost riding his bike.

Easter Crack

Posted by whitey on 4/8/2007 on whitey's blog

The boys woke me up at 6:00 this morning by crawling into my bed and begging me to get up so they could find their Easter eggs. It’s amazing how excited a kid can get over finding a hardboiled egg. The look on their faces is priceless.

Boulder Parking Nazi.

Posted by whitey on 3/28/2007 on whitey's blog

Can you believe this guy? He’s writing a parking ticket for this bike. I really don’t see any harm in where the bike is parked but I suppose it should be on one of the bike racks. When I was taking this picture with my phone I asked the Parking Nazi if he was for real.
