YourCycling.com Update and Survey

Posted by iDrew on 1/21/2008 on iDrew's blog

Hi YourCycling.com Members!

As you may have heard, my company, The Kisco Group, has taken over operations of YourCycling.com and all of the other Enthusiast Group sites, including YourMTB.com, YourRunning.com, and YourClimbing.com.

What does this mean for YourCycling.com? Well, first off, YourCycling.com isn’t going anywhere! And the goal remains to make YourCycling the best cycling community on the web.

Over the past year we have been fortunate to connect with many new people, and even have a few contribute to the Triple Crankset. But, its always nice to have an old friend drop by and lend a hand.

It Begins...

Posted by steepleduck on 11/17/2007 on steepleduck's blog

It feels like I just stopped.  It has been since September 9th that I haven't ridden my bike seriously.  I have of course done a few rides, mostly to coffee shops and check out the fall leaves, and to ward off boredom.  I am tired right now.  I haven't even ridden!  Why, you ask?  Why in the world would I be tired in November?  We just finished the first team camp of the '08 season.  10 days, the Boulderado, Pearl Street, JV, 54 other people now employed by Slipstream/Chipotle, A Paris-Roubaix winner, a Tour de France stage-winner, NZ nat'l champ, U23 European nat'l champ, a host of ot

Teacher On Two Wheels

Posted by yedrek on 10/20/2007 on yedrek's blog

My friend Andrew Morgan is riding his bike and pulling his trailor from New Jersey to Argentina, then taking a freighter to South Africa, then Riding to Egypt.  You can follow his Blog to see what he is up to and where he has been.  He is a teacher and stops at schools along the way.  His blogs are interesting and well written, it is worth checking out.  He has gear lists and stats on his trip.  Its all prety descriptive.  www.teacherontwowheels.com is the site.  Check it out, comment, sponsor him, tell your friends.  Its a pretty cool trip.

The beach outside of Lisbon, Portugal

I think that what the Rockies have been doing the past few weeks warrants some thoughts.  They have found what all athletes strive to find: Communication, synchronization, harmony, flow, attitude, altitude, a little bit of luck, and the confounding realization that sometimes, shit just comes together.  I applaud them, and I hope that they don't stop to think about what is happening.  I hope they just keep playing and striving to accomplish their initial goals.  In a regular job you may land that good client, or close the biggest deal for the company, and of course to an extent there is ple

Slipstream Kit 2008

Posted by steepleduck on 9/18/2007 on steepleduck's blog

I just wanted to write you all a quick note to tell you to get to slipstreamsports.com and vote for your top 5 favorite kits for next season....I can't believe the amount of entries, something like 500 different jerseys...It should be fun to pick through them all and find the ones you like the best...I know that JV is going to choose which one he likes the best out of your votes, then the one that wins gets a kit and a race bike...pretty cool.  THanks for reading, now get out there and vote!!

Uni-Fall!!

Posted by steepleduck on 9/11/2007 on steepleduck's blog

THe close of the 07 season brings with it a note of weariness, some whining, and a hefty sigh of relief.  I have already whined to you about the rigors and stress of my first season, "abroad"  Now, I can move on to providing the refreshing notes of enthusiasm and sarcastic tendencies that permeate the mind of yours truly...
