I'm Chad. I started riding this time last year, loved it, bought a Trek 7300 hybrid and signed up for my first MS 150 with 3 months to train for it. From sedentary 230lbs couch potato to a fairly hilly MS 150 on a hybrid... very proud. This year I'm planning to do at least one century for the MS 150. I'm also planning to ride in the Tornado Alley 110 through the ozarks.

I just got my first Road Bike (2007 Giant OCR2) and have only put a couple hundred miles on it this year, but I'm really loving the difference. The old Trek doesn't get a lot of action, lately, but we're about to open a new trail head for the local rail-trail, and I plan to break her out for the occasion.

I'll bet the Tornado Alley 110 is awesome. The Joe Martin stage race we just got done racing was in that area. Nice rolling terrain with lots of trees. Keep us posted on how you are preparing for the ride. I'm sure a lot of the readers have done, or want to do something similar. I rode the 500 mile GRABAAWR in Wisconsin when I was 12 on a Trek mountain bike with my dad. The last day was in the rain and we raced to the finish. I think he let me win but I felt like I was in the Tour. Very fond memories and I hope to do the same with my boys. Spread the joy!!
