I started cycling about one year ago and made steady progress with regard to burning calories.  After losing over 40 pounds I continued to ride and found how enjoyable it was because I could see my fitness level continue to get better and better.  This required an upgrade of my bicycle to a better road bike from my "starter" bike.

Now I have a decent road bike (Fezzari from www.fezzari.com) that weighs about 22 pounds and gives a pretty nice ride.  Check them out if you want a good bike for a great price!  I have gradually increased my speed and endurance, progressing from a 42 mile ride in April to a 62 mile ride in June.  Then I competed in the Utah Summer Games in all four of the racing events.  Next is a 100 mile ride in Southern Utah and the Huntsman World Senior Games (www.seniorgames.net) in St. George, Utah.

I expect to continue to make progress with my overall fitness level.  I have started a website (www.cyclingbuddies.net) to promote the merits of cycling and good nutrition.
