I could've used one of these the last couple months. Alas, the only bike in my household that's seen action since December is my trainer. Sad. It has been cold all week and today we’ve already gotten 15 inches of snow and it’s still coming down. It’s not supposed to stop until tomorrow and accumulate to over 2 feet. I have been working as a bike messenger and normally enjoy it but today I envied all the cubical workers I deliver to. Sitting there, all warm, getting ready to go home early. The city and county shut down at 1:00 today. It was so bad I spent most of the time walking my bike from place to place instead of riding it. One of my deliveries was up at Chautauqua, which is at the top of a pretty big hill. On the way down I crashed three times. There was so much snow it didn’t hurt but I was really wet. Thankfully there was no need for the Crash and Burn Kit. It felt really good to get in my car and turn on the heat.

Finally the snow was to deep and I had to walk. Three hours ago there was no snow.
http://www.YourCycling.com/blog-i_should_have_gotten_a_desk_job#comments cold weather riding in snow Wed, 20 Dec 2006 16:00:00 -0700 whitey 14 at http://www.YourCycling.com
